Welcome to ESL with Alan, your go-to resource for innovative and engaging teaching materials for ESL, EFL, TESOL, and TEFL teachers, educators, and tutors around the world! My name is Alan and I am an Arizona State University TESOL certified ESL teacher and ELT writer. I started my TPT Store ESL with Alan in September 2022 with the aim to provide high-quality resources that make learning English fun and effective. Each of my teaching materials is carefully crafted to address current issues such as climate change and artificial intelligence, as well as popular topics like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Minecraft.


As for a little bit about me, I am a lifelong language learner and have always been passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I am a native Italian, English and Polish speaker,and I have also studied French, Mandarin Chinese, and even a bit of Esperanto and Estonian. My love for languages has not only helped me in my career as an ESL teacher, but it has also opened my mind to different cultures and perspectives.

In addition to languages, I am also deeply interested in the topics that I cover in my teaching resources. From artificial intelligence to virtual reality, I believe that it is important to stay current and incorporate relevant content into my teachings. I also have a soft spot for pop culture and fandoms, and I enjoy finding creative ways to incorporate them into my materials in order to make learning English more exciting for my students.

Through this ESL blog, I am excited to share my teaching tips, activities, and resources with other teachers and learners. I believe that teaching is a continuous process of learning, and I hope that this blog will serve as a platform for collaboration and growth within the ESL community. Whether you are a seasoned teacher or just starting out, this blog will provide valuable insights and resources for teaching English as a second or foreign language.
